From the Founder

A studio born from
a love of beauty

Lumière Studio was founded in 2014 by Isabelle Moreau, a former art director at some of Paris and New York's most celebrated luxury houses, with one conviction: the beauty industry deserved better branding.

Too many exceptional products were hidden behind generic packaging and forgettable brand stories. Isabelle set out to change that — building a studio where strategic thinking and artistic excellence exist in equal measure.

What began as a two-person operation in a Brooklyn loft has grown into a 24-person multidisciplinary studio, with clients spanning independent founders to publicly listed cosmetic groups across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

The founding conviction remains unchanged: every beauty brand has the potential to be extraordinary. Our job is to make that potential visible.

A decade of building
beautiful brands

  1. The Beginning

    Isabelle Moreau founds Lumière Studio in a Brooklyn loft. First client: a small-batch face oil brand that goes on to be stocked in Bergdorf Goodman within 18 months.

  2. First International Client

    Studio expands to serve European beauty founders. Paris office opens, and Lumière wins its first Pentawards nomination for skincare packaging.

  3. Digital Practice Launches

    As DTC beauty explodes, Lumière launches a dedicated digital experience practice. Team grows to 12. First award from The Dieline for a natural body care rebrand.

  4. Pivoting Through Change

    Studio pivots to fully remote-first, expanding access to talent globally. Work accelerates as beauty brands recognize the importance of digital-first identity.

  5. Asia-Pacific Expansion

    Lumière partners with beauty founders across Japan, South Korea, and Australia. Team grows to 24. James Okafor joins as Strategy Director, deepening the studio's strategic capability.

  6. A Decade of Beauty

    Studio celebrates 10 years with 180+ brands launched across 32 countries. Named Best New Studio by The Dieline and featured in Vogue Business as a top brand agency for indie beauty founders.
